HomeTriple Crown 2022

The Colorado Triple Crown series is a collection of single day, timed double century road cycling events. They are, simply put, the most challenging road cycling events in the state of Colorado! The original three events of the series were the Joe Lookingbill Denver-to-Aspen Classic, Colorado Death Ride, and the Tim Kalisch Memorial Grand Loop, which the club begin running back in the 1990s.

Over time we have expanded our course options to include a wider variety of courses, including both road and gravel courses. If you complete 3 of these rides in a single season, you are recognized as a Colorado Triple Crown finisher and can purchase a special kit that recognizes you as such--if you've done RMCC rides in the past you've likely seen others with this kit!

These rides offer the ultimate way to challenge yourself, to ride roads you haven't ridden before, and to make the type of friendships that can only be made on a long day on the bike.

These rides are single-day events and intended for those who can keep up a reasonable pace throughout the ride. As such each ride has a 19 hour time limit unless otherwise noted. This is done to you to be property trained and prepared for the ride. If you haven't done a ride of such distance before, we encourage to participate in our early-season brevets, particularly ones that are 300 kilometers in length.

You/your bike must be outfitted with proper lighting and reflective equipment as they do all start before daybreak. Some rides will have limited support, but you are still expected to be mostly self-sufficient during the day. Personal support is allowed, and is encouraged if you haven't done a ride of this length previously.

Please check out our Triple Crown FAQ and Rules for further details on the series.

For the 2022 season, we will have the following events.  Click on the links below to register for each event.  Note that membership is required to participate in these rides, and YOU MUST LOGIN TO REGISTER FOR THESE RIDES.
